Posted by Expo Trims on Jun 26th 2019

Donna here and I am so glad you have joined us today. I am so excited to share this Kid’s Fun Monogram Hoop with you! I love the packs of Collage Trims that Expo International carry. They have them in a variety of colors! I thought it would be fun to make some kind of décor piece for my granddaughter’s room. When I saw the orange I knew it had to be used! Hooped décor is a popular trend , so I decided to use her initial for the focal point. F is for Farris!

YOU WILL NEED:

  • Collage Trims
  • Cotton Fabric
  • Felt or Warm and Natural for behind fabric
  • 8” Hoop

You will also need:

  • Scissor
  • Embroidery Needle
  • Fabri-tac by Beacon
  • Pencil

STEP ONE

Gather all materials needed.

STEP TWO

Layer cotton fabric over felt\warm & natural and put in hoop. Pull till taunt and tighten.

STEP THREE

Mark your letter lightly on surface and start to embroider using a satin stitch.

STEP FOUR

Using the furry thread, go along side your satin stitched letter with a running stitch.

STEP FIVE

Using same furry thread, make French knots here and there.

STEP SIX

Adhere fringe with beads across the bottom of hoop using Fabri-tac adhesive.

STEP SEVEN

Cut fabric as close to the back of hoop as you can, using a sharp scissors.

You are now ready to hang this fun funky piece of décor in your child’s room! How fun would this be for a nursery!!!!

That’s it!

You are done!
