Welcome to the Expo International Blog. We are so pleased to introduce our Design Team who will be sharing creative projects using our trims and embellishments. We hope to inspire you with their designs! Debra Quartermain is a designer known for her stylish charm. She has had a design career in the industry which has included several books, hundreds of articles and is the current Chair of the AFCI Designer Section. Her home is a one hundred and seventy-five-year-old historic property which she loves to decorate for every season and many celebrations!

Spring is in the air and this is the time of year everyone feels like freshening up their décor. Expo has so many beautiful trims to choose from and a wreath is always a welcome way to add a pretty spring accent to a room. I have a shelf with a vintage cup and saucer and a photograph of my great grandmother and aunts so I wanted to create a soft vintage look for the wreath.

You will need:

Alice Classic Woven Braid: IRI901 Pink, 1 yard, IRI901 Khaki 1 yard

Vintage Roses with Pearl Bridal Lace Trim: 4 yards IRI7060WH

Double Ball Chair Tassel: 1 TSL6222CCC

12” STYROFOAM brand foam Wreath

10 Silk Leaves

6-6mm Pearls

Fabri-Tac Adhesive by Beacon

Pins, Scissors, Ruler, Needle and Thread.

  • 1.Begin by pinning the lace at an angle at the back of the wreath. Wrap wreath with lace overlapping each layer ¼”. Continue until entire wreath is covered.
  • 2.Cut two 12” pieces of lace, gather with needle and thread into a rosette. Secure threads.

  • 3.Cut a 14” and two 12” pieces from pink trim and a 14” and 12” piece from the khaki trim. Begin rolling a piece into a circle. Glue ends. Insert pearl in center and glue. Repeat for all pieces.

  • 4.Loop tassel around wreath. Place lace rosettes and flowers on wreath until you are satisfied with arrangement. Glue in place. Add leaves and glue. Use a piece of trim to loop a hanger at top. Hang and enjoy!

Tailor this wreath to co-ordinate with any decor choosing from a wide variety of colors we offer,

Till next week, have an inspired creative week! Thank you for visiting. Debra
