DIY Jute & Sparkle Holiday Gift Bag

Hello Expo International Friends! This is Rina from Mothership Scrapbook Gal. It is now the holiday season and with the season comes the urge to craft and make holiday gifts. I created a fun DIY Holiday Gift Bag using Expo International’s Woven Tote Bag and Sequin Trims, and felt die cuts using Kunin Felt. Let’s get started with our supplies list:

Step 1: Begin by cutting your felt and laying out your design with your felt die cuts and sequin trims. Once you decide where you want to place your die cuts, you can carefully use hot glue to adhere there to the Jute Gift Bag.

Step 2: Now you can adhere your sequins to the felt die cuts. I used Aleene’s Turbo Tacky and did 2 generous lines (put your first glue line, then add more on top of that line – the felt will absorb the glue) and then placed the sequins on top of the glue. Once your sequins are in place, you can then trim them.

Step 3: Once you are done with adding your sequins, you can also create a matching tag for your bag. I cut another die cut and used Aleene;s Turbo Tacky to glue on some cardstock so I could include a sentiment on the tag.

Step 4: Your gift bag is ready for festive holiday tissue paper and of course – a wonderful gift. This Jute & Sparkle Gift Bag is a great size because it is so versatile - it can fit a shirt box, a shoe box and even a bottle of wine and chocolates.
