Child’s Name Plaque Décor

Posted by Donna on Sep 8th 2017

Welcome to Expo International’s Blog, glad you have stopped by. Donna Budzynski here to share a cute child’s name plaque. Whether you are decorating for a new born or an older child, a name plaque is a must! For the infant it is just cute and for the older brother or sister it is to let others know who’s bedroom you are about to invade!

I have chosen to use an applique as my main focus. Appliques don’t always have to be used in the way they were made to be used. I am going to show you today how cute an applique can be using it in a new way.

Let’s start!

You Will Need:

Bazooples Stacked Animals/Elephant

Bazooples Flower Pack of 6 Yellow & Blue

Wood 8” X 10”

Paper

Paper Trimmer

Sanding Block-Optional

Beacon 3-in-1 Adhesive

Beacon Fabri-Tac Adhesive

Paint & Brush

Fine Line Black Permanent Marker

Instructions:

1.Gather all supplies

2.Trim paper to size.

3.Pencil sketch name and room onto paper, paint and let dry. (Photos 2 & 3)

4.Outline all letters using fine line permanent marker.

5.Trim coordinating paper ½” X 8” and adhere to top and bottom of plaque using Beacon 3-in-1 Adhesive.

6.Adhere applique Flowers and Stacked Animals using Beacon Fabri-Tac.

7.You can add a hanger or display on a stand.

Isn’t this a fun way to use appliques?

I am just tickled pink on how cute this turned out!

Simple, quick and fun!

I sure hope you enjoyed this and give it a try!
