Hello, this is Rina Gonzales from Mothership Scrapbook Gal! I am so happy to share a fun project for your Spring Garden and parties using Expo International trims. Let’s get started with our supplies list:

6MM slung flat metallic sequin roll of 100 yards - Turquoise

6MM slung flat metallic sequin roll of 100 yards - Fuschia

Bonita Pom Pom Fringe Trim – Yellow

Bonita Pom Pom Fringe Trim – Orange

Lorelli Party Fringe Trim - White Multi

Pin wheels

Aleene’s Turbo Tacky Glue

Hot glue gun and glue sticks

Scissors (a small pair is good for this project)

To get started, you will need to have some pin wheels to decorate. I got my pin wheels at the local dollar store. I picked pink, blue and yellow pin wheels, I could easily envision the trim looking fabulous on the pin wheels.

Next, you will need your sequin trim and Aleene’s Turbo Tacky Glue. I like the Turbo Tacky glue because it dries faster and will also dry clear. I applied the glue to each petal/wheel on the pin wheel and then look the sequin trim and patiently laid the trim on top of the line of glue. You can also use a small pair of scissors to help to move and adjust any hard to reach sequins. The glue will dry clear so it is no big deal if you do not lay the trim perfectly, you can also go back and re-adjust the trim once you have it laid down on the glue.

After you have laid all of your sequin trim on the pin wheel, you must allow the pin wheel to dry. I let mine dry overnight. I suggested that you allow it to dry for about 1-2 hours before you add the final step of the pom pom centers.

For the pom pom centers, I used a hot glue gun to add the poms. You will need to trim the pom balls from the trim and then I added hot glue to the portion of the pom that was cut from the trim to hide the string portion of the trim. I added 3 poms for the centers of the pin wheels. Please note that once you add the trim and the poms, the wheels are not going to spin any longer.

Now, you can add some very pretty new and embellished pin wheels to your Spring Garden. Thank you for stopping by to learn how to use Expo International trims for your outdoor garden décor, these would also be really fun for an outdoor tea party or for your Easter Egg Hunt!
